About me

My name is Christine Mährle, and I’d like to introduce myself:

I have been working in consulting for more than 20 years and have led projects at all of Germany’s leading banks and international institutions. I have in-depth expertise in regulatory requirements, particularly in the areas of risk management (MaRisk), IT (BAIT, DORA), outsourcing and artificial intelligence (EU AI Act).

In recent years, I have led numerous projects at financial services companies and service providers —focusing on the development and implementation of practical solutions and their integration into existing IT and governance structures.

I bring both technical expertise and a deep understanding of regulatory contexts to the table, and I am equally comfortable communicating with senior management as I am with business and IT departments.

I value interdisciplinary collaboration as much as hands-on implementation work, whether on-site or remotely. Even under pressure, I maintain a clear overview and consistently drive projects to completion—with a keen eye for requirements and technological feasibility.

As an external consultant, I know how to quickly familiarize myself with existing structures, pragmatically interpret regulatory requirements, and implement sustainable implementation strategies in collaboration with my clients. My goal is not only to manage projects but also to provide effective operational support—especially where external expertise combined with implementation experience is needed.

Thanks to my training as a business coach, I place particular emphasis on strong teamwork, effective communication structures, and ensuring that all employees are fully engaged in the change process. Ultimately, good results always stem from productive teamwork and the joy and motivation of shaping the future together.

In addition to professional experience, I believe it is essential to continuously develop my professional and personal skills. I hold certifications as an Information Security Manager (ISACA), an Operational Risk Manager (Institute of Operational Risk), a systemic coach for professionals and executives, and in project management.

In addition to my professional work, I have held leadership roles in the diaconal sector for many years. My responsibility for volunteer organizations and change processes has shaped my perspective on leadership, collaboration, and sustainable decision-making. It reinforces my approach to consulting, which is based on trust, respect, and responsibility.

Consequently, this has led me to adopt a sustainable consulting approach. This means not only that I provide my clients with sustainable solutions to meet their needs, but also that I consistently prioritize resource-efficient, ethical, and sustainable solutions in my travel arrangements and personal infrastructure (use of devices).
